{ it's been a while. time seems to pressurize some months and at other times, it slips. it's easy to let time go, but then he'd be missing out. he wonders how elrond sees it. after all, they both have long lives having left behind, and more ahead. he had intended to get in contact with him sooner, but he got distracted. is it a disservice to call it a distraction?
